why we love this
Probably the best junkyard find you will come across. Schroothoop’s inventive debut release is soulful, quirky, and will surely leave you smiling while scrummaging through the house to see what makeshift instruments you can form next.
about the record
The Brussels-based schroothoop (Dutch for “junkyard”) makes homemade instruments built from lost and found objects like scrap wood, old metal, or anything that would end up in a landfill. The band’s music is infused with sounds from around the world orchestrated by PVC flute melodies, jerrycan beats and washtub basslines.
