why we love this
Is it ambient? Is it experimental? Is it electronic? Could be all at once, and that’s what’s magical about this release. Powerful piano interlaces its paths with cosmic-like synths, whilst delicately resonating flute creates dreamlike atmospheres.
about the record
Christina Vantzou and John Also Bennett follow up their debut album, Thoughts of a Dot as it Travels a Surface with Landscape Architecture—a lucid and uncanny trip through shifting thought forms, terrains, and frameworks.
Recorded over the course of three days during a residency in Brussels, Belgium during late 2018 and mixed at home in April 2020, the album makes use of elegant, idiosyncratic piano, drones, and porous electronics. The natural world, surreal and serene, springs forth on a contemplative tour through remote thought-gardens and conceptual collonades.
