why we love this
In The Afternoon moves with a slow, thoughtful ease like a cloud gliding across the sky, yet somehow the album is over in a flash, like an afternoon sun hiding away. With grace and poise underlying its weightless melodies, this beautiful release invites presence. Rather than turning backwards or forwards, turn inwards.
about the record
The collective "e is sky" was formed from the initial collaborations of Melbourne-based experimental composer CORIN, electronic-pop musician Sui Zhen, and music producer Casey Hartnett. They specialize in creating scores and sound designs that tell stories and convey moods, making connections with art, film, multimedia, cultural artifacts, places, spaces, and people.
While this music was previously accessible only through a location-aware app, they now invite listeners to experience these pieces outside of the gallery setting.
