why we love this

An intimate exploration of sound. Deeply touching and perfect to assist those moments of introspection.

about the cassette

"There are certain sounds and styles that seem to be encoded in your DNA. They resonate heavily in your mind if you listen to them for the first time, rattling your bones with a rhythm that seem to be connected with ancient memories. Like you did know this music since you've been a toddler, but in this very moment those sounds manifest themselves for your ears for the very first time. to your own wondering and amazement.

The music on "mutterkuchen" is my humble try to record the sounds and music I hear if I listen to my rattling DNA. This music sounds very krauty, Cluster, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream. To my own surprise the influence of another guy is pretty present if I listen to this album. This bloke Johann Sebastian Bach has lived long time ago, but his music still resonates a lot within my inner self.

It is a pretty self centered concept I have to admit. Though I hope that somebody out there will listen to this album and his or her bones will shake in resonance with its music. That would be wonderful."
